1987 Moto Guzzi Lario V65 (Northern California Superbike Collection)

$4,280

Please note: This bike is a part of the Northern California Superbike Collection. The anonymous owner is well-known and a long-term friend of both Iconic and Bike-urious. All proceeds will go towards a foundation he and his wife run to further research for sustainable agricultural and agroforestry systems worldwide.

The Moto Guzzi Lario V65 was almost like a baby LeMans, but it was one of the fastest pushrod 650cc bikes ever built. Capable of nearly 125mph, it at one point broke multiple Land Speed Records, and the distinctive bodywork made this MG stand out.

The motor was an evolution of what you got in the V50 – the motor was bored and stroked and got 4-valve heads. Period testing claimed an output of 60 horsepower, good for a top speed of 119 miles per hour.

The upgrades weren’t limited to the engine – Moto Guzzi also added a 35mm fork, longer swingarm, upgraded steering head bearings, and bigger brade discs to create the Lario.

This example is VIN: ZGUPTAPT4HM100177.

The odometer shows 3,523 miles.
