The Black Prince was Philip Vincent’s attempt at creating a “two-wheeled Bentley”, and it was fully-faired in an effort to add some comfort to the blistering power of the Black Shadow twin. The performance was undeniable – the styling was quite polarizing. Today we’ve got an interesting statue featuring the frame of a Black Prince mounted on granite with a signed copy of Know Thy Beast by E.M.G Stevens signed by Vincent himself.
“This item has been refinished with the VIN number left bare as that is what makes this piece extra special. The VOC had reported it to have been modified years ago for racing but has since been straightened back to stock by a professional shop in the UK at the cost of 840GBP as the receipt shows.”
“This comes with brand new frame mount and hardware from Coventry Spares. Also is a signed Copy of Know Thy Beast, this is one of 110 copies that was signed by Philip Vincent himself. All of the leather bound copies have the silhouette of a Black Prince. Roughly 130 units were produced.”

The seller purchased the frame from a dealer in the UK six months ago.
“Always fascinated with Vincent motorcycles especially the full fairing model. I wanted a piece of one to display proudly and also keep it in the condition to where it can be used in a bike if the opportunity ever presented itself. The frame is mounted to a solid piece of granite and all in all weighs roughly 32 lbs. The bottom of the granite has a felt pad to help keep it from damaging whatever surface you put it on.”
