The 1993 500cc World Champion, Kevin Schwantz needs no introduction to Iconic fans.

Today we’re offering a tank that he used in competition, crashed, and then signed!

This originally came to Iconic as part of a large collection of Suzuki MotoGP memorabilia – we auctioned it off to a client in Mexico in 2022 who kept it on display at our facility, he then auctioned it off to the current owner in July 2023.

The current owner acquired it for the specific purpose of 3D scanning it – he is building a Suzuki RGV500 XR77 replica (like the bike Schwantz raced in 1991). You can follow his progress here via Instagram!
He has succeeded in scanning and replicating the tank so he is selling the authentic tank to raise more funds to finish his project.
“The fuel tank is in the same condition as when I bought it; I’m only selling it without the cap so I can use it on my replica. From what I’ve been able to find out, it’s very possible that this fuel tank is from Schwantz’s accident with Lawson at Assen in 1993:”
Cosmetic Blemishes: please see the album in the “Photos” tab for all known cosmetic blemishes. Here is a selection:

Currently located in Barcelona, Spain, this tank is offered on a Bill of Sale only. Have any Schwantz stories or questions about this listing? Let us know in the comments!
