When legendary motorcycle designer Massimo Tamburini quit working for MV Agusta at the end of 2008, he had a non-compete clause lasting three years. He used that time to develop his own version of the ultimate motorcycle, unbound by price, homologation rules, or corporate interference – sadly he passed away in 2014 before he was able to complete it. Two years later, his son Andrea completed that project and created two prototypes of the “T12 Massimo.” Unfortunately, the limited production run of the T12 did not pan out so Andrea instead decided to honor his father with the production of a body kit designed for the Gen 2 MV Agusta F4. Meet the Tamburini F43 Tributo Kit!

The kit was announced in 2022, after F4 production had stopped. Thus, every kit was destined to be installed on a used bike. The kit was offered in five liveries and production was capped at five examples of each for a total of 25 (a reference to the 25th anniversary of the original F4). The options were Tamburini, Veltro, Mamba, Viper, and Serie Oro – each of which were priced the same at 16,000 euros.

Highlights of the kit include carbon fiber fairings (thermoplastic fuel tank and front fender) with airbrushed paint, anodizing of all aluminum components, CNC titanium and CNC aluminum fasteners, and an Alcantara seat on a carbon fiber base.

This example is VIN: ZCGF630ABDV003496.

It is equipped with the “Serie Oro” Kit, #1 of 5.

The odometer shows 18,870 kilometers (11,725 miles).

Per the seller, the base “bike and engine were completely dismantled and checked/overhauled piece by piece before assembly from F4 to F43.” He also notes that this was the first of the 25 planned bikes that was sold by Tamburini Corse.
“The motorcycle was displayed at the Tamburini Corse stand at the official presentation of all the F43 Tributo versions at the Bike Expo in Verona (Italy) in January 2025. Photos from Tamburini Corse and Andrea Tamburini are available on social media.”

Maintenance:
“Before being outfitted with the kit, the motorcycle was completely disassembled in the workshop (I have photos) and checked piece by piece. The engine, including the valves, was also fully serviced. The workshop issued an invoice for the motorcycle when it was purchased.
The front and rear tires are new, with zero mileage, and are from October 2024. This documentation will be shown to potential buyers.”
