After spending nearly two decades honing its sportbike formula with the R1100RS and the HP2, BMW finally materialized its progress in the form of the S1000RR. It was a release that turned the race replica segment on its head, proving once and for all that the Germans could beat the Japanese at their own game. When it launched in 2009, the “RR” introduced a number of firsts to the production motorcycle market. In addition to an optional quick shifter, it also featured ABS, dynamic traction control, and a customizable four-mode riding system.
Since that time, BMW has only continued to improve on its original effort. The current generation S1000RR arrived in 2018 with a new motor putting down 205 hp and 83 lb-ft of torque thanks to hollow-bored titanium valves and BMW’s ShiftCam variable valve timing technology. For 2025, BMW updated their venerable sportbike with a quicker action throttle (12 fewer degrees), more aerodynamic trim panels, as well as standard inclusion of the Pro riding mode and brake cooling ducts that were previously reserved to bikes with the up-spec M Package.
The M Package ($2,695) is indeed an impressive grouping of components, including:
– Exclusive Light White/M Motorsport paint
– M Sport seat
– M Carbon wheels OR M forged wheels, as well as blue M brake calipers. The bike in this listing is equipped with the M forged wheels and does not come with carbon wheels.

This bike is being sold by our friends at California Superbike School, which both Adam and Abhi have taken and highly recommend! Every year they acquire a new fleet of S1000RRs from BMW – we just helped them break in some of the 2026 bikes for this upcoming season which means they are selling the 2025s. This is one of the “M Package” bikes that CSS orders for their instructors. The street bodywork/mirrors/turn signals were only used during the break-in period, then removed and replaced with track bodywork for school usage. After the bikes were retired out of the fleet, the original bodywork and street legal features were re-installed in preparation for the sale.
