For 2019, BMW updated their venerable flagship adventure bike with a new motor that deserved a new name: the R1250GS.

Thanks to variable valve timing technology called ShiftCam and a displacement bump, the new motor has higher peaks of 136 hp and 105 lb-ft of torque and more importantly – it’s stronger on both extremes of the rev band.

The model was further updated for Euro 5 compliance in 2021, and BMW added several tech features such as adaptive cornering lights, standard Dynamic Traction Control/ABS Pro/Hill Start Control, and updated heated grips with 5 levels of control. Most people are familiar with the R1250GS and the R1250GS Adventure, but BMW also offered a packaged called the “40 Years of GS Edition.”

The design was inspired by the “Bumblebee” livery of the R100GS, with black/yellow paint, yellow handguards, special graphics, a gold handlebar, yellow cylinder head covers, and gold spoked wheels.

This example is VIN: WB10M030XM6D67779

The odometer shows 28,603 miles.
