We had a surprise visit while Olly was working on this bike:
After successful stints in the 125cc and Moto2 World Championships, Andrea Iannone made the move up to MotoGP in 2013. He made his debut aboard a Desmosedici for Pramac Racing, though an injury that season hampered his results. Despite that, he quickly earned a role on the factory Ducati team in 2015, ending up with a final position of 5th that season. He moved to the factory Suzuki team in 2017 and then to the factory Aprilia Team (in partnership with Team Gresini) in 2019 – and that’s where this incredible bike comes from!
In the 2019 season, Aprilia had three bikes on the grid. The two main riders were Aleix Espargaró and Andrea Iannone, while Bradley Smith was a wildcard entry in certain rounds for testing purposes.
The 1,000 cc V4 engine utilized pneumatic valves and was capable of putting out over 250 horsepower. This was paired with a 6-speed cassette-type transmission and dry slipper clutch.
The power was reigned in by the best that Brembo and Ohlins had to offer.
Akrapovič supplied the stunning exhaust with split exits – one alongside the swingarm and one through the tail section.
2019 was the first year of Massimo Rivola’s tenure as CEO of Aprilia Racing, and for that season Aprilia changed up the paintwork to a “black and gritty livery” that they said paid homage to successful race bikes from their past.
In the 2019 season, Iannone ended up in 16th position with a best finish of 6th at the Australian Grand Prix. In December of 2019, he was temporarily suspended from motorcycle racing after a positive drug test, which led to a retroactive disqualification from the final two rounds of the 2019 season. After an appeal, he was hit with a four year ban, making this the last machine he rode in MotoGP competition.

Normally, ex Moto-GP bikes have the ECUs removed before they are offered to the public. This bike does have the ECU so you can turn on the dash.

The current owner states that it is missing the transmission gears, We also believe the ECU may be disabled, although we were able to get the dash to power up with the on/off switch.

The sale includes the rear stand, bike cover and Certificate Of Authenticity.
It also includes a full set of Iannone’s gear: helmet, suit, gloves, and boots.
