Up until recently, Husqvarna had targeted two different riding extremes: the trendy urban crowd and the hard-core off-road enthusiasts. With the Norden 901, however, the storied Swedish brand made its first foray into the ADV category – billing it as the sort-of Swiss Army Knife of motorcycles.

In doing so, Husky borrowed a lot from the KTM 890 Adventure, including the LC8 890cc twin, the chromoly frame, the Apex WP suspension components, and even the Brembo brakes. Nevertheless, the bike is more than a styling exercise (though you can’t fail to notice its distinctly 80s- and 90s-era aesthetic). Subtle refinements here and there – like a reshaped tank, a more comfortable seat, and a more ergonomic riding position – mean that it manages to stand apart from its KTM-badged cousins.

Performance-wise, the Norden is packed to the gills with mile-eating potential. Its six-speed chain-driven transmission drives the bike along any hard-packed fire road, and the engine allows for more than enough power and torque to have fun in any scenario. A claimed 105hp at 8,000 rpm and 73ft-lbs of torque at 6,500rpm make the Husky a peppy and characteristic steed that can tackle pretty much anything you could throw at it.

In 2023, Husqvarna debuted an “Expedition” variant of the Norden which cost $1,300 more and came with several choice upgrades: WP Xplor 48mm fork and WP Xplor PDS rear shock with 9.5″ of travel front and rear, 4mm aluminum skid-plate, larger windscreen, heated grips, heated seat, phone connectivity, luggage racks, GPS mount, and a center stand.

This example is VIN: VBKUN6405RM891486. The seller acquired it seven months ago from a private party, “a friend of mine who did have time to ride it.”

During his ownership, the seller has covered roughly 3,000 miles. The odometer shows 9,797 miles.

“I bought this bike as my dream bike and built it up as my world traveler. I had a trip to South America planned this summer. I had a stroke in February, and it canceled all my plans with the bike. Someone is going to get an amazing machine with high-end components on it.”
