Ford’s “N” series of tractors are truly iconic, with a long production run, innovative designs, and impressive production numbers. The debut model of the 9N was the first tractor to have both a rear PTO as well as a three-point hitch, and it ended with the 8N, which was sold between 1947 and 1952.

The 8N was the best selling tractor of all time in North America, and worldwide it sold over 530,000 units.

The big improvements for the 8N were a 4-speed transmission as opposed to the 3-speed tranny of its predecessors, as well as an increase in both drawbar and PTO horsepower.

We believe this example is VIN: 8N302789 however it is very difficult to read due to a previous restoration. Per this site, if the VIN is correct then this is a 1950 model.

There is no odometer, true mileage is unknown.

It has been on display inside of an office in Newport Beach for several years.

Maintenance:
The seller does not have any maintenance history but confirms that it ran when it was put on display, noting that it would likely just take a carb clean, new battery, and fresh gas to get it running again. This tractor appears to have been restored in the past.

Modifications:
This 8N appears to be stock.
It is riding on Cooper rear tires and Lande front tires.
