The Farmall Cub (or F-Cub) was the smallest tractor built by International Harvester, initially designed to replace working horses and mules on small farms. Approximately 245,000 units were sold between 1947 and 1979 under several nameplates: Farmall, International, McCormick-Deering, and what we have on offer today: McCormick.

Power came from the “C60” 1 liter 4-cylinder engine – early in the Cub’s history it was good for 9.25 horsepower and by the end of the run it was making almost 15.

The Cub offered a PTO and was compatible with a wide variety of tools and attachments for agricultural needs.

One of the most distinctive features of the F-Cub was marketed as “CultiVision”: offset placement for the engine so the driver could clearly see the working area in front of him or her.

This example is VIN: 85578. Per this website, that identifies it as a 1949 model. The seller acquired it in 2017 from a private party in Ohio through a Bring a Trailer auction.

There is no odometer, true mileage is unknown.

During his ownership, the seller has kept this on display inside of an office in Newport Beach.

Maintenance:
This tractor was restored in 2007 and features reproduction decals. Per the previous listing in 2017, “all mechanicals were rebuilt during the restoration and the seller reports that it runs well and has only seen parade duty since. A tune up was performed one month ago consisting of new spark plugs, a carburetor rebuild, and fresh gas.” The seller does not have any maintenance history but confirms that it ran when it was put on display in 2017, noting that it would likely just take a carb clean, new battery, and fresh gas to get it running again.

Modifications:
This tractor appears to be stock, though it features a factory optional electric starter.
It is riding on Firestone rear tires and Titan front tires.
