The term Triton came about as many private builders (and even some dealerships in London) started to take the best features of Triumphs and Nortons – the engine from the former and the frame from the latter – to make a bike that had the best of both worlds. Triton combines the two names (and is also the name of a Greek God).

This particular Triton is a one-off custom build completed in 2022 by Framecrafters Inc. and Cafe Racer Magazine.

Originally designed to accept a 1970 Triumph Bonneville 650 engine, the chassis was modified to house a more modern air-cooled 2008 Triumph 900 Bonneville parallel twin, offering classic café racer looks with contemporary performance and reliability.

Maintenance:
Seller states: “Motorcycle was built in 2022. Has been ridden rarely. Oil changed yearly and non-ethanol gasoline kept in tank. As well as the speedometer has not been wired in.”
Mechanical Issues:
“Rear brake may need to be bled.”
Modifications:
“This is a completely custom motorcycle build. A one-off Framecrafters Inc. fat featherbed chassis was the final frame manufactured by Karsten and Randy Ilg, of Illinois. Originally built to hold a 1970 Triumph Bonneville 650 engine, the motorcycle was modified to accept a modern, air-cooled 2008 Triumph 900 Bonneville parallel twin engine.”
