In 2004, Aprilia updated their excellent RSV1000R sportbike to the second generation with a bevy of upgrades, most notably the 60-degree V90RR magnesium motor. It also got dual exhausts, tweaks to the chassis, and new styling.
The base model was called the RSV1000R, but the one you wanted was the Factory.
Why? In addition to the special livery, the Factory gained Ohlins suspension and OZ wheels.
This example is VIN: ZD4RRUO174S000167. The seller acquired it November 2011 from a private party in Brampton, Ontario.
During his ownership, the seller has covered approximately 20,000 kilometers. These bikes had a common issue where the odometer would reset when the battery was replaced. Due to that the odometer reading is incorrect and true mileage is unknown. The seller estimates mileage to be 40,000 kilometers (roughly 25,000 miles).

Maintenance:
“Previous owner had swingarm replaced in 2007 as per TB007-2005. I had Corsa Meccanica in Toronto, Ontario perform a valve clearance check after i bought it but I cannot find the receipt at the moment. I have a journal of maintenance done by me. Suspension refreshes have been done by Fast Company Racing out of Waterloo, Ontario.”
Mechanical Issues:
“Doesn’t leak oil but I find oil misting slightly on the inner fairing. Doesn’t consume hardly any. Common rear brake issue. Master overheats being so close to engine. Must be bled regularly to remove air..

“Bike had a small tip over as I released the clutch with brand new tires leaving a stop sign on a cold morning. Rear end came around. Luckily my body stopped it from more damage. Left hand fairing replaced new from dealer. Small scuff on carbon headlight duct. Small scuff on muffler was buffed and looks good. Rearset replaced.”
