Multistrada translates to “many roads” – a very fitting name for such a versatile motorcycle. It debuted in 2003 as a pavement-focused adventure bike, and has evolved into one of the fastest ways to cover miles on two wheels. In 2010, Ducati introduced the Multistrada 1200, which was powered by a revised Testastretta motor as found in the 1198 superbike. In 2015, Ducati updated the motor with Desmodromic Variable Timing, which helped with producing smooth power off the line but letting you tap up to 160 horsepower on the top end.
In addition to the impressive technological features of the base model (cornering ABS, Ducati Wheelie Control, Ducati Traction Control, four riding modes, Bosch 5-axis IMU, cruise control, and height adjustable seat), the up-spec “S” model gained upgraded Brembo M50 brakes, cornering LED headlights, full color dash, and semi-active Skyhook suspension.
Thanks to impressive performance, excellent comfort, and a comprehensive electronics package, MCN called it “one of the greatest sport tourers of its generation.”

“Desmo service was completed less than 2 years ago (receipt available) will be due in 4k miles.
Fluids are clean, Oberon clutch cylinder added last year.
Oil is Motul 7100 with 4k miles.
Tires were replaced late last year with Michelin Road 6, estimated 2/3 tread depth remaining.
Chain has only 1500 miles on it.
Front brake pads were replaced a few thousand miles ago.
Left heated grip is new, the right hand spare unit is provided with the bike.”
Mechanical Issues:
“No mechanical issues. The closest thing I can think of is the right hand plastic guard has a screw boss that broke, so one side is held on with a zip tie. Very easily replaced.”

The spare red wheels come with rotors and Scorpion STR tires. Front is better than 50% life, rear is a bit below 50%. The front rim has a few bends from having fun on rocky truck trails and national parks. It holds air no problem, but should be straightened at the next tire change. Should need nothing except title transfer and gas until it reaches 36k miles.”

“This bike has been ridden 32k miles, with a small portion of that on dirt. It has fallen over a few times, but only at low/no speed on dirt. Never crashed or slid. There are a few dabs of touch-up paint as shown. The most significant cosmetic issues are clearly shown in the photos, others are very minor.”
