At the turn of the millennium, the MV Agusta brand was revived with the release of a new flagship, the 750cc F4. Penned by the great Massimo Tamburini, the F4 boasted a ground-breaking design that redefined the modern superbike. In the years that followed, the F4 underwent a series of revisions and model updates, though the bike’s incredible aesthetics went largely unchanged. Underneath the proverbial hood, MV fitted the bike with a sonorous transverse four-cylinder capable of pumping out a hearty 126 horses and 52.8 lb-ft of torque.

What’s more, the engine was surrounded by quality components such as 49mm Showa front forks, a Sachs rear shock, and a set of Nissin brakes. Ultimately, however, it was the styling that proved the bike’s pièce de résistance — particularly the quad organ pipe exhaust.

This example is VIN: ZCGAGFLJ4YV100063. The seller acquired it ten years ago from a private party in Rhode Island.

During his ownership, the seller has covered roughly 2,000 miles. The odometer shows 8,629 miles.

Maintenance:
“Regular maintenance.
Oil changes.
Valve clearance check.
Cam chain tensioner upgraded with improved factory part.
Chain replaced.”
“One of the pipes broke factory welds and fell off a few years ago. I had J. Shia (custom fabricator in Boston) TIG the mount back on, and we added a cone from a donor. The color is not a perfect match as the donor was dark titanium vs pure black. The center pipe in the photo has been replaced.”

Mechanical Issues:
“Neutral light stays on when in gear. Common issue with these models.”
Modifications:
Per the seller, this bike is stock.

It is riding on Michelin tires that have aged out.

The sale includes 2 ignition keys, OEM tool kit, a T-Rex rear stand, and two trophies that the bike has won: Best MV Agusta at the Larz Anderson Classic as well as the Tutto Italiano.

Cosmetic Blemishes: please see the album in the “Photos” tab for all known cosmetic blemishes. Here is a selection:
