Scott Russell has long been a fan favorite – especially after his incredible comeback victory at Daytona in 1995. Shoei later offered a replica livery of the helmet from his 1996 MotoGP season with Suzuki. The livery was created by Troy Lee Designs and was so popular that Shoei ended up offering a production replica.
In addition to his storied WSBK career, Mr. Daytona spent two years in MotoGP with Lucky Strike Suzuki racing 500cc two-strokes. In the 1996 season, he placed 6th overall after competing in 13 races and earning 2 podiums.

The seller states: “This helmet was bought new by my uncle who passed it down to me many years ago. The helmet has been displayed for the past 10+ years and is in great shape all around.”

The sale includes both a smoked and a clear visor.

The seller estimates that he can ship the helmet within the Continental US for $85.

Currently located in Miami, Florida, this Shoei is offered on a Bill of Sale only. Have any Scott Russell stories or questions about this listing? Let us know in the “Comments” tab!
