In 1912, Indian introduced the Big Base 8-valve engine, an innovative V-Twin with overhead valves. The 1,000cc V-Twin could produce up to 50 horsepower, making it one of the fastest motorcycles in the world with a top speed north of 90 miles per hour.

Indian had just established their racing pedigree with a podium sweep at the 1911 Isle of Man TT, and the impressive power of the Big Base kept them at the forefront of board track racing in the US as well.

This example is VIN: D00188. There is no odometer, true mileage is unknown.

Modifications:
This bike was been “restored to run” over a 3 year time period, it is unknown how long ago the restoration was performed.
