Description

Additional photos of this Triumph Bonneville Custom are available here for your perusal.

Built by Dan Patterson of Angry Monkey Motorcycles, this is “Gonzo”. We highly recommend you check out this video of Dan explaining his history and how he works. “So what is Angry Monkey Motorcycles? Well, it’s just an exercise to see how good you can make Triumph motorcycles from the 50s or early 60s.

It features Harley-Davidson Fat Bob gas tanks that were chopped, narrowed, and flat-bottomed.

The engine is equipped with Amal carbs and throttle, Lucas magneto, ceramic coated headers, custom finned primary covers, finned timing cover, and exhaust. There are also Pro Taper foot rests and a custom trellis exhaust bracket.

The custom seat features the Angry Monkey logo.

Custom paint by Ryzart – flake with candy, gold, and silver leaf.

Gonzo was invited to and featured at the 2017 Handbuilt Show in Austin, Texas as well as Triumph of America’s booth at the Barber Vintage Festival. Per the seller, “this bike was built from the frame up, everything about it is custom, from the 1 of 1 finned covers to the custom exhaust, paint, seat, etc. Every bolt has been touched. Dan only builds one to two bikes a year, his wait list has exceeded two years.”

This example is VIN: D4708 (titled off the engine number). The seller is the original owner – he purchased it in 2016.

Since then he’s covered approximately 500 miles. There is no odometer, true mileage is unknown.

The seller states that there are no cosmetic blemishes or mechanical issues. “The bike has always been garage kept and has sat idle for a year. I’m happy to have a service done on the bike before it leaves if the next owner wishes.”

Currently located in Brentwood, Tennessee, this custom Triumph is offered on a clean Tennessee title (updated since the photoshoot was done). Have any questions about this listing? Let us know in the comments!
