Description

Additional photos are available here for your perusal.

The dirt-oriented brother of the Superhawk, the CL77 was an incredibly popular motorcycle thanks to a distinctive style and sound.

It featured increased ground clearance (thanks to the upswept exhaust), a bigger frame (which eliminated space for an electric starter), smaller fuel tank, bigger 19-inch wheels, and universal tires.

The 305cc parallel twin revved to 9,000 rpm and produced 28.5 horsepower.

This example is VIN: CL771032552. The seller purchased this motorcycle six months ago from a garage sale in San Francisco.

During his ownership, the seller has covered ten miles. The seller states that the speedometer cable functions but the odometer does not, thus true mileage is unknown.

Maintenance:
The seller states they have performed a carburetor cleaning.

4th gear does not feel right. It is as if you shift up from 3rd and the bike does not engage into 4th. If the motor was rebuilt the transmission is fully functional except 4th gear in our honest opinion. I feel three downshifts from “4”-1.. but when shifting up the gear feels very close to 3rd as if there is only 3 gears.”

Modifications:
The seller states they believe the exhaust to be modified.

Per the seller: “I believe the bike has been through minor restorations at some point but nothing major or conclusive.”

Inside of the tank:

It is riding on tires that have aged out.

The sale includes one key.

Extras:
This example includes the original silencer and tool kit.
