When it was introduced in the mid-60s, the Sebring 350 was the biggest bike Ducati sold to the public. This bike was named after Franco Farne’s class win at a race at Sebring International Raceway. The Sebring weighed 275 pounds and was powered by a engine that produced 20 horsepower. When it was introduced, it had very angular lines, though these were eventually replaced with rounder bodywork. It’s hard to look at the Sebring today and see a monster sport bike, but the race-bred machine had a serious if short time in the international spotlight thanks to the high power-to-weight ratio, quality suspension, and stellar brakes. Ducati would soon introduce Desmo heads…and the rest is history.
