Please Note: This bike has not been started in years after a restoration by Grand Touring Garage. As such, the seller has provided a walkaround video but not a cold start video:
As evidenced by the GT lineup, Suzuki had a strong affinity for 2-strokes in the late 60s and early 70s. So it wasn’t surprising that when they introduced the T125 (“Stinger in the US, “Wolf” in Japan, and “Flying Leopard” in France), it was equipped with a 2-stroke engine.

This bike also gave you a 5-speed transmission, and it was the only bike in its class to come with a speedometer and tachometer. Telling of the time, advertisements for the Stinger even highlighted the fact that the “front brake also activates the rear brake light!”

The 124cc parallel twin developed 15hp which could push the 227lb Stinger to about 70-75mph. When released, the bike was quickly appreciated, notably by the press. Cycle magazine said that it was a “quick and agile motorcycle”. Motorcyclist Illustrated described the Stinger’s easy-to-use character as being very responsive with light steering. That pleasant riding was especially due to Suzuki’s new “tri-form” frame, a very efficient structure that gave smooth handling. For the Stinger, Suzuki wanted something racy and attractive to young people trying to get into sporty rides. To this end, the T125 was gifted flashy colors and a dual exhaust, also called power pipes, that yields a rather aggressive look.
