Mototrans was the shortened name of “Maquinaria Y Elementos de Transporte SA”, a Barcelona-based company that merged with Clipper, Spain’s Ducati importer. They ended up building several motorcycles under license from Ducati – most were easily identified by the “FABRICADA BAJO LICENCIA POR MOTOTRANS” under the Ducati logo.

This is the “250 24 Horas”, a Spanish evolution of the Mach 1. When Ducati won their first 24 Hour at the Montjuïc Circuit in Barcelona in 1965 they immediately announced a production model called the 24 Horas to commemorate their achievement. This was produced in limited quantities over three generations until 1974.

A replacement odometer shows 425 kilometers (264 miles), true mileage is unknown.

“This has been recently imported from Spain and was carefully restored to its 24 Horas racing heritage. This race class was originally based on a Scrambler 250 platform and turns heads every time I ride. The motorcycle has been lawfully imported and recently registered in the US.”
