Description

Additional photos are available here for your perusal.

In the early 70’s, Ducati’s management felt that the future of their mid-sized bikes was going to be with parallel twin engines. Despite the fact that Ducati had previous unsuccessful experience with said engine type, the Italians decided to go for it, their first new engine design in over a decade. The result was the Ducati 500 GTL.

Manufactured in February of 1977, this example is VIN: 502553. The seller purchased this motorcycle from a private party three months ago.

The odometer shows 7,052 miles. The seller has put less than a mile on this example.

Maintenance:
Per the seller, they have inspected and cleaned the carburetors, installed a new chain, fuel filter, and fuel lines, and flushed and replaced the brake fluid.

Modifications:
The seller states this example is stock.

Inside of the tank:

It is riding on Pirelli tires that have aged out.

The sale includes one key.

Extras:
This sale includes the original workshop manual.
