Over the course of the R100’s production life, BMW introduced several variations including the CS, the GS, the RS, the RS, the S, and the ST. In the “S” configuration, which features a small front fairing, the motor was good for 66 horsepower – in a 1977 review, Cycle magazine said it was the first BMW that had tested that did the quarter mile in less than 13 seconds.

The S model was also differentiated with a small fairing, “snowflake” cast wheels, dual front rotors, a rear disc brake, and optional luggage made by Krauser. It was an evolution of the famous R90S, and Cycle summed it up by saying: “it’s been changed, but remains completely a BMW: fast, quiet, comfortable, very expensive and utterly unique.”

This example is VIN: 6163118, Engine #: 6163118.

The odometer shows 13,126 miles.

This bike is being listed on consignment with Bullpen Cycles, it will be available for inspection at Bullpen Cycles during their open house. “The owner reported that he purchased this bike about 2 years ago from a personal friend. He titled and registered it one year ago and has driven it less than 1000 miles. He recently bought a newer GS model and lost interest in this one..”
Maintenance:
“Both tires are brand new as is the updated electronic ignition system which were installed by the local BMW dealer here in Daytona. The fluids are current and the battery is fresh. He does not have his receipt for the work done, but most of the components are visibly new.
The bike runs and starts well, but the brakes are very spongy. I bled them myself, even reverse bled them with no improvement. The caliper pads look new as are the front steel braided lines, but brakes require further service. This model has BMW’s ATE braking system with adjustable swinging front calipers and a cable operated master cylinder under the fuel tank. All gauges work including the clock!”

Modifications:
Krauser luggage, rear rack.

It is riding on Michelin Road Classic tires with date codes of 1223 and 2223.

The sale includes 1 ignition key.

Cosmetic Blemishes: please see the album in the “Photos” tab for all known cosmetic blemishes. Here is a selection:
“Cosmetically it’s got scratches on the tank, tail, fenders and fairing, and a good divot in the left corner of the fairing. The windshield is cloudy. The paint around the fuel cap is damaged from gas which was leaking around the gas cap. The gasket behind the cap is deteriorated.”

Currently located in Edgewater, Florida, this BMW is offered on a clean Florida title with registration current through February 2027.
