Description

Additional photos are available here for your perusal.

BMW built a series of bikes around the 980cc boxer twin. In the “S” configuration, which features a small front fairing, the motor was good for 66 horsepower. Beyond the bodywork, the chassis had been given an upgrade in terms of stiffness, providing a more stable and responsive ride. With subtle touches such as a bleeder valve in the forks to decrease nose-dive and increased power over previous years and models, the R100S was poised to be a a optimal choice for riders looking to cruise at the ton for miles on end.

This example is VIN: 6162698. The seller purchased this motorcycle 11 years ago from a BMW dealership in Denver, Colorado. The dealership had this example on consignment from a local estate.
