Description

Additional photos are available here for your perusal.

In 1973, Yamaha released the TX750 – an incredibly smooth parallel twin that journalists loved…until the fancy Omni-Phase balancer that kept the twin as smooth as a four started eating up crankshafts. Even though Yamaha fixed the issue pretty quickly, the reputation of unreliability had already stuck – the bike was out of the market after 1974. Still, Yamaha knew it needed a big bike to compete, so they decided to go with a triple, and the XS750 was born.

The classic British twin styled Yammie produced 64 horsepower from the straight-three, had a 106 mph top speed, and weighed 511 pounds dry, but none of those digits give you a sensation of the overall package – Cycle World named it one of their top 10 and called it a bargain BMW. For more on the XS750, check out this profile from Motorcycle Classics.

This example is VIN: 1J7220546. The seller has owned the bike three months.

During his ownership the seller has covered approximately 500 miles. The odometer shows 25,388 miles, however, the seller states, “I absolutely love this bike! I’m going to ride it until she sells.”

Maintenance:
Per the seller, “The bike has a fresh tune up including oil/oil filter, spark plugs, brake fluid flushing, cable conditioning, carbs completely rebuilt with new gaskets, O-rings, etc. It has a new battery, new tires, new plugs, new brake pads, and new fork seals.”

Modifications:
Steel braided front brake lines.

Inside of the tank:

It is riding on Dunlop tires with date codes of 3520 and 0721.

The sale includes two keys and an extra tank.
