Description

Additional photos on this 1981 900SD Darmah are available here for your perusal.

After the classic 750GT of the 70s, Ducati looked to evolve with a simpler engine. They ended up with the first ‘square case’ bevel twin: the 860 GT.

Just a few years later, they released the much improved 900 SD Darmah.

By 1981, the SD Darmah featured Brembo brakes, FPS aluminum wheels, a dual seat with more padding, Bosch ignition, Silentium exhaust, standard electric start, and Marzocchi suspension.

Manufactured in May of 1980, this example is VIN: ZDMAD963XBB952255. The seller acquired it three years ago from a private party.

During his ownership, the seller has covered roughly 1,500 miles. The odometer shows 24,208 miles.

Modifications:
5/31 Update: The seller notes that this bike has bene upgraded with Ohlins shocks. Here’s a photo from the Quail Motorcycle Gathering two weeks ago.

Conti exhaust.

K&N air filters.

Aftermarket bar end mirrors.

The sale does not include the pictured helmet.

Cosmetic Blemishes:
The seller states that there are no cosmetic blemishes.

The sale includes one key.

Mechanical Issues:
There is a very small oil leak at the base of the vertical cylinder.”

Currently located in Walnut Creek, California, this Ducati is offered on a clean California title with registration current through July 2022.
