Description

Additional photos are available here for your perusal.

In the late 70s, Honda offered both a CB750F and a CB900F, but the US only got the 750 and Europe only got the 900. Expectedly, neither market was particularly pleased with this decision — the grass is greener on the other side. It took a few years, but Honda eventually appeased the Americans by bringing the 900F over as well. In regards to styling, Hemmings had this to say about the 900F, “Style is a mix of traditional UJM with more modern touches like the beautifully designed upturned rear spoiler.”

The bike boasted some serious grunt for its time, with a respectable 89hp @ 9,000RPM. Not only that, but handling was more than competent, too — a feature made only better by the Comstar lightweight aluminum wheels and tubeless tires. The press loved it – Cycle magazine called it, “One of the best performance buys on the market.”

This example is VIN: JH2SC0107BM004712. The seller purchased the bike in 2022 from a private party and states, “Bought it to restore to running condition. Paint and emblems are in great shape.”

The odometer shows 19,651 miles. “Approximately 200 since complete restoration.”

Maintenance:
Per the seller, “Recently completed a comprehensive professional mechanical restoration. Invoices for all restoration available upon request. Restoration included, but not limited to, clean and lined fuel tank, rebuilt and tuned carburetors, new carburetor boot kit, new Yuasa battery, new petcock, spark plugs, front and rear master cylinders, front and rear brake caliper pistons and brake rotor, drain and replace all fluids, including synthetic motor oil and filter, Maxima brake/clutch fluid. New front and rear Dunlop D404 tires, (Front 100/90-19, Rear 120/90-18) nipples still visible, refurbished fork seals.”

Modifications:
According to the seller the bike is stock.

Inside of the tank:

It is riding on Dunlop D404 tires with date codes of 4123 and 4823.

The sale includes one key.
