Honda’s excellent VF750 Interceptor was scaled down to 700cc in 1984 to get around the newly implemented import tariffs on large cc bikes in the United States. Honda achieved this with a shorter stroke on the crank, leaving the rest of the bike mostly untouched. While down slightly on power, the VF700F was just as good in every way as the original 750cc model.
