Motorcyclist magazine summed it up perfectly: the new-for-1985 Kawasaki Ninja 600R was “the bike that essentially invented the modern 600 middleweight category.”
“A short wheelbase and 16-inch wheels front and rear emphasized the little sportbike’s compact nature and allowed sure-footed handling that riders bred on bigger bikes had previously only dreamed about. Air-assisted AVDS suspension meant it was just as sophisticated as its big brother the 900R.”
This example is VIN: JKAZX4A10FA004788. The seller acquired it from the estate of a friend three months ago.
During his ownership he has covered just a few “test miles.” The odometer shows 8,602 miles.
Maintenance:
The seller states that this has new front rotors, a new battery, and new Continental tires with date codes of 4516 and 4320.
Please note that when the bike is running, the exhaust smoke is a little white – we presume the engine is burning some oil.
The seller states that the bike is OEM, though the tank was swapped out at some point in the past. There are extra “Ninja” stickers on the tank.
Cosmetic Blemishes: please see the album up top for all known cosmetic blemishes. Here is a selection:
Currently located at our facility in Santa Monica, California (please make an appointment for an inspection), this Kawasaki is offered on a clean California title with registration current through February 2023.
