Up until the 1970s, the two-stroke three-cylinder GT750 served as the flagship model of Suzuki’s sportbike offerings. Of course, that all changed with the introduction of the GS750. Initially, the GS series was designed to be an all-around standard.
Come 1981, however, Suzuki had debuted its radical, furistic Katana GSX1100S. The following year, it broke up the biggest GS model further with different trims like the E, the G, and the EF.
While the E became the king of the dragstrip and the G evolved into something of a lazy man’s tourer, the EF got treated to a swooping set of bodywork. The engine got some extra work, and cosmetics were slightly tweaked, leading to a bike more similar to the early Katanas, and an engine that produced over 100 horsepower and nearly 70 foot-pounds of torque.
This example is VIN: GV71D100238, engine #: V704100231. It came to Iconic as an import from the UK; prior history is not known.
The odometer shows 19,401 kilometers (12,055 miles).
