When Honda introduced the Elite 250 to the United States in 1985, it became the largest-displacement scooter offered in America.
Also known as the CH250, it paved the away for modern maxi-scooters like the Suzuki Burgman and Honda Silverwing as it was incredibly reliable and was able to comfortably cruise at 65 mph (top speed of nearly 75), helping open up the minds of riders as to what a scooter was capable of. The digital dashboard caught a lot of attention, with much more instrumentation than usual: engine temperature, trip meter, clock, and an engine oil life indicator.
Manufactured in August 1985, this example is VIN: JH2MF0100GK101110. The seller acquired it one year ago from the son of the original who passed away.
The seller has not ridden the bike during his ownership. The odometer shows 415 miles.
