Description

Click here for an CycleVIN Motorcycle History Report on this 1986 Honda VF1000R. Additional photos are available here for your perusal.

When it was released, the VF1000R was a bit of a revelation: it was Honda’s flagship, designed to showcase what the Japanese firm was capable of.

It was also a huge tease to US riders, because it was initially only released in Europe only – America got the VF1000F instead, which was designed to be more of a touring bike.

The R was Honda’s first road bike to benefit from gear-driven cams.

This example is VIN: JH2SC1614GM100103, Engine #: SC16E220078. It was manufactured in November of 1985.

The odometer shows 30,938 miles.

Per the seller, this VF1000R has received a carb rebuild, oil/filter change, new battery, 4 new turn signals, new chain, coolant flush, fork oil flush, and a brake fluid flush.
