ICONIC PROJECTS: if you follow us on Instagram (and you should!), you know that we’ve recently partnered up with Kamikaze Motorsports in Glenwood, Iowa. One of the many new services that will be coming from our partnership is a series of project bikes for those of you that like to tinker or are looking for a lower entry price to a bike you’ve always wanted for our White Glove service to fix up on your behalf.
Additional photos of this GSX-R are available here for your perusal.
The GSX-R 750 had already been in production for a year by the time the first ones started to land at U.S. dealerships in 1986, and it really needed no introduction as it had earned a reputation worldwide as the first affordable mass produced factory racer replica that lived up to the hype. Much has been written about the legendary GSX-R 750 in its stock form, but we are looking at something very different today. This 1986 GSX-R “830” drag bike appears to be a great way to go really fast in a straight line, and look good while doing it.
This example is VIN: JS1GR75A8G2104470.
The odometer shows 31,391 miles.
Modifications:
830cc engine, pod filters, polished frame.
The battery is dead and will need to be replaced, the inside of the tank is clean. The engine turns over.
Currently located at our facility in Glenwood, Iowa (please make an appointment for an inspection), this Suzuki GSX-R is offered on a clean Illinois title. Have any GSX-R750 stories or questions about this listing? Let us know in the comments!
