Description

Click here for an CycleVIN Motorcycle History Report on this 1986 Suzuki GSX-R1100. Additional photos are available here for your perusal.

While the GSX-R750 debuted in 1985 for most countries, the US first got it and the bigger brother 1100 in 1986.

It was an instant classic – an aluminum box frame housed a 128 horsepower oil-cooled engine, and it looked the part thanks to the full bodywork. The dry weight was 433 pounds, an impressively low number for the time.

The seller of this example (VIN: JS1GU74A9G2103229, Engine #: U703-103697) acquired it from Iconic in December 2020. He is letting it go due to health issues which are forcing him to focus on track riding.

During his ownership, the seller has covered roughly 50 miles. The odometer shows 17,508 miles.

Modifications:
Zero Gravity windshield.

Vance & Hines exhaust.

Aftermarket seat cowl.

It has USD forks so they are not from a 1986 model. The current owner had Iconic install upgraded springs in the forks and shock (1.0kg/m fork springs, 9.8 kg/m shock spring).

Reupholstered seat.

Cosmetic Blemishes:

In the eBay listing that the previous seller bought the bike from back in May of 2020, the listing noted that the bike had been dyno tuned and it was equipped with a Euro handlebar and a few new OEM parts: coils, leads, plugs, starter, solenoid, chain, sprockets, brake pads, and battery. It also got new Michelin Pilot Power 2CT tires.

Currently located in Santa Ana, California, this GSX-R is offered on a clean California title with registration current through October 2021.
