In the 80s, motorcycle manufacturers were attempting to reach new riders by developing smaller size toys. Honda had the Mini Trail, Kawasaki had the KV, and Yamaha had a street option with the YSR. Suzuki had the RV50 for the dirt as well as a full-faired baby sportbike, the RB50 GAG.

The RB, released in 1986, featured 4 different liveries: red/white, a blue/white replica of its bigger GSX-R brothers, a grey/white tribute to a bomber plane, and the pink “Little Racing” livery complete with a few rabbits.

Despite the toy-like nature, the RB actually had a proper aluminum box frame, hydraulic disc brake at the front and full-floater aluminum swingarm. The 141-pound bike was powered by a small 4-stroke 5.2hp engine.

Suzuki offered the RB50 (sold as the GSX-R50 in the UK) for just a couple of years, making them as rare in the US as they are smile-inducing.

“This motorcycle was part of my father’s personal collection. As the owner of New Haven Powersports, he displayed this bike at the dealership beginning in 2007, where it remained as part of his curated collection. As I continue managing the collection, I’ve decided it’s time for this motorcycle to find a new owner who will appreciate and enjoy it as much as he did.”

“The fuel tank looks perfect. The upper fairing shows some cosmetic damage. It came with no mirrors and the areas where the mirrors were looks like there was an issue in the past with them, the right side looks like there may have been a glue incident. The left side wore away the paint underneath. The upper has a rock ding on the stripe decal below the front turn signal grommet on both sides. the left side of the upper has a chip by the windshield, and scrapes along the edge of the fairing. The mid fairing on the right side has a chip by the vents and below the vents in a decal. The left mid fairing has a scratch below the vents. The tail has decal blemishes on both sides, the left is at the beginning of the decal, the right has it in the front and the back. The center between the tails seems a bit faded or has some white residue in the textured plastic. The triple tree bolts have some corrosion”
