This BMW R100RT has existed in three different custom capacities — first as a garage project, next as a Gold Country Cafe Racers build, and finally as the Black Kat Motorwerks creation you see before you. When Gold Country Cafe Racers got their hands on it, they completely disassembled the bike, painting the bodywork; powdercoating the frame, the rear drive, and cylinder heads; installing a new wiring loom; and replacing the many of the stock components with some trick parts.
In 2020, the bike made its way to Black Kat Motorwerks where it was updated with a more aggressive look. In addition to switching up the seat angle and rear cowl, they also changed the bodywork, shortened the pipes, tidied up the wiring, reworked the brake linkage, and added new engine cover. Additionally, BlackKat relocated the license plate bracket and installed different turn signals and brake lights.
In the seller’s words, “Mechanically strong and aesthetically beautiful, this can be a daily ride where it always gets attention. There has not been a ride when I don’t get a positive comment.”
This example is VIN: WB1046901J6293123.
The seller has owned the bike for three years, during which time he has ridden it for approximately 3,000 miles. However, because this is a custom build, true mileage is unknown.
