The Honda Hurricane, in addition to having one of the better names in motorcycling history, was an excellent motorcycle that introduced some crucial technology into the Honda lineup. It was available in 600cc and 1000cc versions.

The Hurricane had 130 horsepower to motivate 602 pounds of weight, and over time it’s evolved from a heavyweight supersport into a classic sport-tourer. As Rider magazine put it in a Retrospective, “the ergonomics as a whole were fit for a normal human being. Add a pair of throwover saddlebags and a tankbag, and a thousand-mile weekend was a pleasure.”

Suspension duties were handled by Showa, with 41mm front forks and a preload/rebound adjustable shock.

Manufactured in July of 1987, this example is VIN: 1HFSC2106JA101829. The seller acquired it a year ago in a raffle at a motorcycle race. “I don’t want it getting damaged around the shop with other bikes. It needs a good home with its own spot.”

During his ownership, the seller has covered roughly 100 miles. The odometer shows 51,764 miles.

Modifications:
The seller states that this bike is completely stock. “I do not know the last major service it had. It runs/rides perfect and judging by its appearance it’s been well taken care of. Routine service was done with oil, filters, brakes, etc.”

Cosmetic Blemishes:
The seller notes “minor miniscule things due to is age. Still shows as a 9 of 10.”

Currently located in Pensacola, Florida, this Honda is offered on a clean Alabama title. Have any Hurricane stories or questions about this listing? Let us know in the “Comments” tab!
