Known as the Dominator is other markets, the NX650 was sold in the US for just two years. The drivetrain is from a XR650L so you get 44 horsepower, 5 speed transmission, and excellent parts availability. With that said, the bodywork is unique to the model.
Manufactured in February of 1988, this example is VIN: JH2RD0204JK000847. The seller acquired it from a long-term owner in September 2019 “after a very long search for a nice NX“. He owned it sixteen years and was kept in a heated garage.
During his ownership, the seller has covered roughly 3,000 miles. The odometer shows 14,567 miles.
Modifications:
3rd Moto crash bars.
Suzuki DR-Z400 bar end weights.
The sale includes the original seat strap, service manual, and MRA windshield.
Mooneyes sticker, battery tender lead.
Cosmetic Blemishes:
“Left mirror custom repair with duct tape, liked it so much I left it that way. Scratches on rear cowl, two very minor chips on tank at left of gas cap, pictured. Scratches on factory engine guard, pictured.”
The seller states that there are no known mechanical issues. “Tires were installed in the spring of 2021 and have been ridden 978 miles. This year has had valve adjustment, air filter, spark plug, new Honda petcock and oil change. It’s ready to ride anywhere.” It is riding on Continental TKC80 tires.
The sale includes the owner’s manual.
