This listing is for a “nearly complete set of 1989 Suzuki GSX-R750 OEM bodywork.” The seller of this bodywork set collected it over the last 20 years and was saving it for a future GSX-R restoration project, however he is now starting to thin out his collection and make some room in the garage.
All of this bodywork is OEM except for the rear solo cowl which is an aftermarket fiberglass piece. This set does not have the smaller tail cowl rear cap (part # 45511-17c00) and instead has the full solo cowl cover.
“Sharp eyes may notice that the tank is an OEM GSX-R1100 unit (same fit as the 750) and the paint is in very nice original condition for its age.”
Cosmetic Blemishes:
Some of the bodywork has plastic weld repairs. Some sanding and primer work getting it ready for paint has already been done.
The tank was repaired on the underside but the seller has no history of the work. The tank shows some surface rust on the inside – it has been coated in oil and a thorough cleaning and inspection before use is advised.
Original Suzuki OEM Slingshot GSXR bodywork is getting increasingly hard to find, especially parts like the upper side cowls and the upper fairing.
Many of these bikes and their associated parts did not survive the 90’s unscathed!
The sale includes the tank, front fender, front upper/middle/lower fairings, radiator cowl, tail fairings, and rear cowl.
