The Honda Hurricane, besides having one of the better names in motorcycling history, was an excellent motorcycle that introduced some crucial technology into the Honda lineup. It was available in 600cc and 1000cc variants – the latter had 130 horsepower to motivate 602 pounds of weight, and over time it’s evolved from a heavyweight supersport into a classic sport-tourer.
As Rider magazine put it in a Retrospective, “The ergonomics as a whole were fit for a normal human being. Add a pair of throwover saddlebags and a tankbag, and a thousand-mile weekend was a pleasure.”
