Additional photos of this Honda CBR1000F Hurricane are available here for your perusal.

The Honda Hurricane, besides having one of the better names in motorcycling history, was an excellent motorcycle that introduced some crucial technology into the Honda lineup. It was available in 600cc and 1000cc variants – the latter had 130 horsepower to motivate 602 pounds of weight, and over time it’s evolved from a heavyweight supersport into a classic sport-tourer. As Rider magazine put it in a Retrospective, “the ergonomics as a whole were fit for a normal human being. Add a pair of throwover saddlebags and a tankbag, and a thousand-mile weekend was a pleasure.” This example has covered roughly that mileage over its entire 30+ year life.

Manufactured in July of 1990, this example is VIN: JH2SC2412MM100296.

The odometer shows 1,352 miles.

Per the seller, “the bike sat (rarely ridden) since 1992 when I bought a house and I wanted to bring it back to life a couple years ago but the mechanic I used failed me miserably and skipped town.”

“I didn’t receive my original carbs back from him and I recently bought a set from Denmark. These carbs do not have nipples to connect the vacuum system. It also has new tires, chain, spark plugs, steel braided cables, brake pads, fluids, and fork seals.”

“The radiator needs attention – I never had an issue with it but I haven’t ridden it in 20 years and I’m not sure if the mechanic flushed it as requested.”

“It needs a battery and that the petcock leaks (the tank has been relined).”

“It is missing fuel cap bolts.”

“The brake and clutch lines are functional but need to be strapped down.”

“Rats got to the brake/blinker wiring harness.”

“The center stand return spring is weak.”

Cosmetic Blemishes: please look at the album up top for images of all known cosmetic blemishes.

It is riding on Michelin Pilot Power 2CT tires with 2015 date codes.

The sale includes one key.
