The ZX-7 was born out of Kawasaki’s ZXR750 race bike effort, which would go on to be a success on the racetrack as well as the showroom floor. It showcased an aluminum perimeter frame and a highly tuned GPX750 engine.

Known as the ZXR in most of the world, this was marketed as the ZX-7 in the United States, and it was defined by dual headlights, air intake tubes, and ample use of Kawi green on the bodywork and wheels.

The model got a significant update in 1991, which was internally known as the J model. It made 100 horsepower at the crank, weighed roughly 10 pounds less than the previous generation, and was upgraded with USD forks.

The seller states he aquired this bodywork six years ago for a project, and had it professionally restored and painted by Artistimo Custom Designs.
