Additional photos of this Yamaha TZR250 3XV are available here for your perusal.

A repliracer at heart, the 3XV is the last and arguably the most sought-after generation of the Yamaha TZR250 – the lovely little V-Twin motor doesn’t hurt, either. Only sold in Japan originally, the 3XVs were offered in a variety of trims, all of which were limited to 45 horsepower by the Japanese government.

The 249cc V-Twin produced 29.5 lb-ft of torque along with the 45 horsepower, and it was paired with the Yamaha Power Valve System (YPVS) and a 6-speed transmission. Dry weight was just 278 pounds, which is why these bikes are an absolute joy to enjoy on a twisty road. Many owners also derestrict the motors to open up additional power.

This example is VIN: 3XV082187. The owner imported it from a dealership in the United Kingdom 18 months ago.

The odometer shows 33,919 kilometers (21,076 miles).

This is a “RS” model, which comes with a dry clutch.

The owner had the carbs cleaned and had the bike running during his ownership, however he knew it would be sitting for a while so he ran the tank and carbs dry before parking it. The bike was stored indoors but due to the time spent sitting we believe it will need another light carb clean again. Adrenaline Cycle (where the bike is currently located) is capable of doing that work, as is Iconic’s White Glove service if the next owner would like to send the bike to us.

Modifications:
Steel braided front brake lines.

Cosmetic Blemishes:
