The seller of this example (VIN: JS1GR7AA4N2100239) acquired it eight months ago with the intent of restoring it and answering the question, “what would a Pepsi Edition GSX-R look like?”
The odometer shows 10,299 miles.
The seller started with a 1992 GSX-R750, which benefited from the significant updates that came in 1991 – more aerodynamic front fairing with a headlight cover, larger seat, shim-type valve adjusters, a wider rear tire, and a bump to 116 horsepower. The ’92 model is particularly notable in the US as it was the final year of the air/oil-cooled SACS (Suzuki Advanced Cooling System) engine in the GSX-R platform. The bike was purchased with minor damage to the right side upper fairing, lower fairing, and exhaust canister, then given a full restoration with modifications for a “race replica” look.
The OEM front turn signal holes and “3rd Eye” were filled in, and mini Hi-Intensity LED driving lights were installed to achieve the full front number plate aesthetic.
With the exception of the #34s and the “Kevin” decals sit under three coats of clear that were wet sanded and buffed. the leading edges of the fairing have PPF (paint protection film) added.
All of the bodywork is OE, except for the rear seat cowl.
Mechanically, this bike got a valve adjustment as well as fresh oil and brake fluid. It’s equipped with NGK spark plugs and Accel spark plug wires. In addition, the carbs were rebuilt with a jet kit and they were paired with Uni pod filters. The following are made from titanium: case bolts, caliper bolts, rotor bolts, sprocket nuts, valve cover bolts.
It has new Bridgestone Battlax tires, SuperSprox sprockets, and Regina chain.
The wheels have been powdercoated. There are steel braided brake lines, EBC brake pads, and Motul brake fluid.
Sato adjustable rearsets and levers.
Rebuilt shock (complete with custom reservoir wrap) and forks with RaceTech components.
Full stainless race exhaust w/ replica SC Project can.
The sale includes a custom matching rear Pitbull stand.
The only cosmetic blemishes small groups of scuffs on the both sides of the swingarm near the chain adjuster.
