If you want Italian style with big power, the Bimota SB6 was the way to go. Bimota wrapped Suzuki’s reliable and tunable, liquid-cooled, 1074cc inline four in a rigid frame and lightweight bodywork, shaving nearly 100lbs off of the fast (but heavy) GSX-R in the process. This thing is quick even by modern standards, with a tested top speed of over 170mph. It really was the best of both worlds: Suzuki power meant endless tuning options and easy parts availability, while the Bimota design made for low weight, impressive agility, and incredible exclusivity!

Around 1,100 units were produced and — as is typical of Bimota — the SB6 was loaded with the very best components, straight from the factory. These included:

Brembo brakes.

Öhlins shock.

Paioli forks.

Ample carbon fiber.

This example is VIN: SB600288. It came from a collection in Japan, the history is not known.

The odometer shows 7,305 kilometers (4,539 miles).

Maintenance:
In preparation for the listing, our service department replaced the spark plugs, the oil, and the oil filter. Additionally, they cleaned and synced the carbs, flushed the coolant and brake fluid, serviced the chain, diagnosed an exhaust leak, gave the bike an intensive detail, and installed new Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV tires with date codes of 1422 and 2022.

Angel and Steve did the work, he notes the following in his condition report:
Tire % Front/ Rear: new
Tire Press Front/ Rear: 36/38
Brake % Front/ Rear: 80/70
Hydraulic: Ok
Oil: New
Coolant: Ok
Low Beam: Ok
High Beam: Ok
Turn: Ok
Tail Light: Ok
Brake Light: Ok
Plate Light: Ok
Kill: Ok
Horn: Ok
Battery: 12.6V

CURRENT JETTING:
-11mm Float Setting
-150 Main Pilot
-27.5 Pilot
-1.5 Fuel Screw
-> Still Runs Rich. Needs Dyno Tune, maybe 135 main.

The shop notes that this bike is currently running a bit rich so the jets will likely need to be swapped depending on the elevation of where the buyer is located. We do not have a dyno at our facility and the seller asked us to cap the amount spent on service work to keep the reserve as low as possible.

Modifications:
Marchesini wheels.

Titanium exhaust system.

Flatslide carburetors with velocity stacks.

Battery relocation (normally behind the headlights), custom PCV oil catch tank.

Carbon fiber frame covers.

Battery tender lead.

Inside of the tank:

The sale includes two keys.

Cosmetic Blemishes: please see the album up top for all known cosmetic blemishes. Here is a selection:

Currently located at our facility in Santa Monica, California (please make an appointment for an inspection), this Bimota is offered on a clean Oregon title. Have any SB6 stories or questions about this listing? Let us know in the “Comments” tab!
