If you want Italian style with big power, the Bimota SB6 is the way to go! Bimota wrapped Suzuki’s reliable and tunable, liquid-cooled, 1074cc inline four in a rigid frame and lightweight bodywork, shaving nearly 100lbs from the fast, but heavy GSX-R in the process. This thing is fast even by modern standards, with a tested top speed of over 170mph! It really is the best of both worlds: Suzuki power means endless tuning options and easy parts availability, the Bimota design means light weight, agility, and incredible exclusivity!
Around 1,100 units were produced and, as it typical of Bimota, the SB6 was loaded with the very best components, straight from the factory: Brembo brakes, an Öhlins shock, Paioli forks, and carbon fiber throughout. In addition to the OEM items, this one has period-correct Dymag wheels, a brand new battery, a Lafranconi performance exhaust, and a few other little tidbits.
This particular bike is in excellent condition as it was restored just a short while ago. With just 4,526 miles showing on the odometer, she’s ready for a new owner and is currently titled in VA.
As with any older bike that has been ridden (she’s 24 years old now!), there are some minor imperfections. There is a very small scratch on the right side tank and on the rear cowl by the logo, a small crack on the front upper side fairing, the clear coat is peeling along rim edge on the rear wheel, and there is a small scratch on right side swingarm from what appears to be a misplaced stand.
