In 1991, Honda split the base and SP models of the NSR250R with the introduction of the SE (Super Edition) model. They had all of the SP goodies (dry clutch, adjustable suspension, special livery) except for the magnesium wheels.
In 1994, the Japanese firm updated the NSR with an all new model dubbed the MC28. The result was arguably the ultimate 250cc street bike in Japan thanks in no small part to the PGM-IV ignition and Pro-Arm single sided swingarm. Also notable was the memory card used to start the bike.
This example is VIN: MC28-1000479.
The odometer shows 14,804 kilometers (9,198 miles).
The seller is a friend of Iconic who is a passionate two-stroke collector – he owns over 100 bikes but is starting to downsize.
He bought it eight years ago from a private party in Portland, Oregon – that was the person who imported it.
The seller has never ridden this bike, however he notes that the carbs were recently cleaned. It is equipped with a JTC tank pad.
