When it was introduced in 1990, the Kawasaki ZX-11 was the fastest production motorcycle in the world. Part of that came from the face that it was the first production motorcycle with a ram-air intake, which helped the 1,052cc inline four engine produce a claimed 145 horsepower and 80 ft-lbs of torque.
In a period review, Cycle World said, “Now two years old, the Kawasaki ZX-11 Ninja is still the baddest, meanest, flat-nastiest motorcycle available. Forget about the other big-bore sportbikes: They’re all slow.”
Despite its immense performance, the Ninja ZX-11 was noted for being easy to ride and easy to maintain, which enabled it to have a lengthy production run that lasted until 2001.
This example is VIN: JKAZXBD11RB503291. The seller acquired it from his uncle in 2009.
During his ownership, the seller has covered 3,500 miles. The odometer shows 20,801 miles.
Maintenance:
“The bike has been taken care of meticulously for its entire life. Since I have had it, the bike has been preseason, registered, and driven almost every year. Both front and rear suspension have been gone through, all fluids changed and flushed multiple times in its life, new brake lines, pads and rear rotor. The chain and sprockets have been replaced along with the wheel bearings. The battery is new. The tires are new as well. I do not have all of the paperwork but I have most of it including the manual and service manual.”
Modifications:
Muzzy titanium full exhaust, jetted carbs.
Polished and chromed wheels, Metzeler Sportec M3 tires, aftermarket rear rotor.
Tinted windscreen, tinted turn signals.
Cosmetic Blemishes:
The seller states that there are no cosmetic blemishes. He notes that “the bike was taken apart to be sprayed in two-stage black deep gloss paint. Factory stickers and emblems were reapplied minus the large Ninja sticker on the lower fairing (still available aftermarket).”
“The bike has not seen the rain more than a few chance showers and has been stored inside its entire life under a soft bike cover.”
Currently located in Townsend, Massachusetts, this Kawasaki is offered on a clean Massachusetts title.
