Every once in a while, we get a submission that’s so comprehensive that it doesn’t make sense for us to try and paraphrase it. So, while we’re no strangers to ZX-11s, this is one of those listings, and we’ll let the seller take it from here:

“One of the most Iconic motorcycles in the “Power War” amongst manufacturers race for Top Speed is the King, the Kawasaki ZX-11D. Kawasaki’s Legendary Flagship and Top Speed Record Production motorcycle in 1990 (and in years following to 1996) stunned the World with a 10.5 second Quarter Mile at 132 m.p.h, 127 HP at the rear wheel, and an incredible 175 m.p.h. Legends Never Die!

Available to the top bidder is a very well maintained and upgraded 1994 ZX-11D in Pearl Greenish Black Micah finish with original OEM fairings. The saddle is a Corbin Gunfighter with detachable backrest in black with purple welt. The gas tank is protected from jacket zippers by a Lockhart Phillips Tank Bra. Riding position is made more upright with UK sourced 1 inch Bar Risers, keeping some of the weight off your wrists for those long trips over hill and dale and up the twisties, and a Double Bubble windscreen in Dark Smoke enhances wind deflection over taller riders and a more aggressive profile. A Muzzy Stainless Steel full exhaust and Jet Kit opens up the 1052CC beast motor, and drops approximately 32 pounds with removal of the restrictive stock dual pipes. This modification noticeably lightens the bike, provides exciting gains in acceleration and top speed, and lets the bikes’ deep tone absolutely scream out in the upper RPMs. The Carbs were disassembled, thoroughly cleaned, slides and barrels polished, Diaphragms inspected and reinstalled, Fuel Tube O-rings replaced, new valves, springs, and jets installed, and floats checked for leaks and reinstalled to appropriate height with new springs. A complete coolant flush and oil change were performed with dealership sourced parts.

A Bitubo adjustable rear shock set up for 225-lb rider was sourced from the UK recently, allowing for multiple firmness levels and rebound settings. The original Kawasaki shock was disassembled and cleaned, and is available upon request in very good to exellent condition.

Brake upgrades begin with UK sourced 6 pot ZZR-1100 front Calipers by Tokico (production run with Hi-Max label), SBS 686HS Street Performance pads, and a rebuilt rear caliper with HH Pads. Next, greatly enhanced braking performance and safety from Galfer’s Stainless Steel Braided Brake lines front and rear provide firm brake feel and absolutely fantastic stopping power, with a noticeable improvement over the spongy stock rubber lines and calipers. The Brake and Clutch Master Cylinders, as well as the Clutch Slave Servo were thoroughly cleaned and flushed, new OEM Kawasaki dealer sourced diaphragms and internals were installed, and the brakes bled after new Synthetic Brake fluid was installed.

The Valve Cover was removed to address a fouling of the #4 spark plug (Oil Coated threads and electrode fouled) with new OEM Dealership sourced Valve Cover Gasket, Spark Plug O-ring seals, Valve Cover Bolt Gaskets, and new Spark Plugs (receipt in photos). Valves were within spec and no shims were required. The bike has a few minor scratches on the rear upper fairing above the brake light, a modified left side fairing for Muzzy Exhaust clearance, a scrape on the front fender, and other minor small/light scratches in various locations. The front fender left bolt tab was cracked pulling a cover off the front of the bike and was repaired using PlastiFix and TouchUpDirect OEM spec paint. There is light corrosion and wear to the rims, swingarm, rear caliper, bolts, and other areas from its 30 years since produced!

Please ask any questions and bid with confidence on this amazing and Iconic King of the Speed and Power wars of the 1990s.”

Manufactured in September of 1993, this example is VIN: JKAZXBD11RB502917. The seller acquired the bike from the second owner in La Jolla, California in 2019.

During his ownership, the seller has covered approximately 1,000 miles. The odometer shows 11,244 miles.

Maintenance:
Per the seller, he has completed the following during his ownership: “Oil and filter change, Coolant flush and refill, Valve Cover Gasket, Spark Plug Gasket O-rings, Valve Cover Bolt Gaskets, Spark Plugs, Air Filter replaced with KnN filter, Airbox and ram air ducts cleaned, Master Cylinders, Clutch Slave Cylinder and lines drained, cleaned, Diaphragms replaced, Gas Tank internal filters replaced, Fuel Filter replaced, Carbs removed, cleaned all passages and components, floats inspected, Fuel Tube T fittings O-rings replaced, See description…”
