Intorduced in 1989, the ZXR250 was the smaller sibling of the ZXR400. It got a dramatic revamp in 1991, which included upgrades to the bodywork, suspension, electrical system, carbs, and engine. Even better, it went on a slight diet, as well.
The 249cc 4-stroke inline 4 engine produced 45 horsepower (capped by JDM restrictions) at 15,000 rpm, enough for a 3.8 second 0-60 time and a claimed top speed of 127 miles per hour.
This example is VIN: ZXR250C020036.
The seller acquired it two years ago from Adrenaline Cycle in Swansea, Massachusetts. Since then he’s covered roughly 300 kilometers. The odometer shows 19,803 kilometers (12,305 miles).
It was previously sold by White Knuckle Motorsports in Springville, Utah in May 2017, at which point the dealership said that “it is in mint condition and has new battery, Kawasaki filter & engine oil, new coolant flush, new brake fluid, new spark plugs and original air filter was serviced.”
The seller states that it is completely stock and does not have any mechanical issues.
Cosmetic Blemishes:
The seller is letting it go as “a 240 pound rider on a little 250 isn’t a great combo.”
The seller sums up his bike by saying it “runs and rides like the day it was new. It would make a great addition to any collection.”
Currently located in Rehoboth, Massachusetts, this Kawasaki is offered on a clean Massachusetts title. Have any ZXR250 stories or questions about this listing? Let us know in the comments!
